What a fantastic way to conclude three days of golf at the 2026 QLD Senior Amateur at Bribie Island Golf Club!

Gemma Dooley sealed a one shot victory on the 18th hole while being challenged all day, battling with playing partners Kim Morris and Trudy Petrie (Kingaroy Golf Club). Round 2 leader Graham Hourn (Kingaroy Golf Club) shot a final round 3-under par 69 to extend his day two margin and win by nine shots.

Thank you to our hosts at Bribie Island Golf Club. The time, generosity and dedication from everyone involved helped deliver a successful and enjoyable event.

Another great day of golf is in the books as Round 2 comes to a close at the 2026 QLD Senior Amateur, hosted by Bribie Island Golf Club. Players continued to compete in challenging conditions, with some solid rounds being played, making for an exciting leaderboard heading into the final day.

Gemma Dooley now leads the Women's field by a single stroke. Five players are within five shots so the chasing pack isn't far. Graham Hourn (Kingaroy Golf Club) extended his lead in the Men's field shooting 2-under par to lead by seven.

We look forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow for the final round as we crown our champions.
