Queensland districts unite in landmark governance reform A new chapter for golf in Queensland has begun, with the successful amalgamation of the men’s and women’s district bodies across the Sunshine Coast, South Burnett and Glasshouse regions.

More than $400,000 has been distributed to 15 golf clubs across Queensland through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).

There are some tightly contested categories at the end of day one of the 2026 QLD Inclusive Championship and Australian Wheelchair Championship at Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club.

Young Zion Wagner (Burleigh Golf Club) had the low score of the day (+2). An impressive round, as conditions deteriorated across the day, wind rising and light showers by the afternoon.
