WE’RE HIRING: FULL-TIME CROSSFIT COACH

Gym Cartel & CrossFit Desire are looking for an exceptional coach to join our team.

This isn’t a side hustle. This isn’t a “coach one class a week and get a free membership” role.

We’re looking for someone who wants to make coaching their craft.

Someone who gets excited about helping people achieve things they never thought possible. Someone who understands that coaching is more than counting reps and starting a clock.

What we’re looking for:

✅ CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (or higher)

✅ Available for 20+ coaching hours per week

✅ Strong communication and people skills

✅ Reliable, professional and organised

✅ Passionate about helping everyday people improve their health and fitness

✅ Able to coach everyone from first-timers to competitive athletes

What you’ll get:

Every year we walk into the CPR refresher thinking:

“Mate, I’ve got this. Push on chest. Blow air. Don’t panic.”

Then 14 minutes later we’re sweating over a plastic dummy while our trainer calmly says:
“Remember… the Bee Gees rhythm.”

Now there’s 7 grown adults aggressively compressing torsos to Stayin’ Alive while trying not to lock eyes with each other.

CrossFit has taught us many things…
But apparently yearly CPR refreshers remind us:

1. Nobody remembers the ratio.
2. Everyone forgets how exhausting CPR actually is.
3. The dummy somehow always looks disappointed in you.

Still though… genuinely important skills to have.
Even if it does feel like the weirdest group workout of the year.

At Cartel, the workout brief is the most important part of your hour. We don’t just point at a screen and hit ‘start.’
We dive into the mechanics, discuss the intended stimulus, and tailor the movement for the individual athlete in front of us. Coaching isn’t just about making sure you’re tired by the end of the session; it’s about making sure you’re moving better than when you walked in.
