PRIVATE YOGA OFFERING~
Iβve just come back from a timely YTT course called the Art of Touch ππΌ which Iβll share more about in a later post! But it has me inspired to offer private sessions, as in a class it is just impossible to give my full attention and presence to one person. This is for absolute beginners to intermediate level. Anyone wanting to start a yoga practice or deepen their practice, a private session includes:
β’ Assessment of expectations & goals
β’ Personalised 1hr class to meet your individual needs, location flexible (at your home, park, studio)
β’ Learn correct alignment to avoid injury
β’ Hands on adjustments to enhance poses, and support relaxation
β’ Pranayama (breathing techniques)
β’ Feel confident to start a home practice
β’ One-on-one, or up to 3 people π

EFFORT & EASE ~
A balance of effort & ease is a concept I love, in yoga & in life. Itβs important to be strong and stable in the physical foundation of a pose while at the same time you can invite an effortless breath, soft gaze etc into it. This creates a deeper connection with the mind and body, checking in to see what needs to be switched on and letting go, surrendering what doesnβt need to be. In life, putting in effort where needed but then making space for ease, relinquishing control, taking time to rest & restore!

Personal practice // a little reminder to keep doing what is right for you in these weird times! For the first time in a few years I stopped teaching regular yoga classes~ In the beginning it was a bit upsetting, although I'm grateful because this gave me space to rediscover my own personal yoga practice that I had somewhat lost & call on it in times of need to reground & find my center. Sometimes this looked as simple as taking childs pose with a bolster.. scent of lavender, sound of relaxing music & connecting with my breath. "Every breath is like a key to unlock the remembering, that deep within you is a natural reservoir of calm and peace." A few other little things like journalling, reading, meditation & immersing in nature πΏ I've found super helpful in staying present and grounded. Would love to know what practices you have in place or would like to invite into your life... comment below! RESTORATIVE/YIN YOGA~
A gentle yoga practice that promotes flexibility and relaxation, providing balance against all lifes 'yang' activities of doing and thinking, rather a practice of being and feeling into the breath and body to reach a state of presence and ease. Moving through discomfort to find freedom and acceptance in deeper/ longer held poses is a great tool to translate into life.

Our modern lifestyle is becoming increasingly disconnected from nature... Feels so good to reconnect by simply walking barefoot on the earth, sitting/laying by a tree or looking up at the sky π£π

SPRING CLEAN~ Nourish to flourish π»πΌ Nature provides all we need to support our bodies and minds. Few ideas to incorporate into your life:
- Eat the rainbow πchoose a variety of fresh seasonal fruit and vege from the market ππ₯¦
-Eliminate/reduce processed foods; refined sugar & grains, fried foods~ try to eat as wholesome as poss! for eg. switch to wholegrains (quinoa, brown rice) & healthy fats (avocado, nuts, extra virgin olive oil) π₯
- Drink plenty of filtered/spring water π§
- Spend time in the sunshine π
- Limit phone use/ screen time, especially around going to bed and upon waking β¨π
- Daily movement: yoga, pilates, walking, swimming, whatever works for you! π§ββοΈπΏ
- Pause to watch the sunrise or sunset π
Nice time for a meditation or breathing/pranayama practice!
