Throughout my fitness journey, I've undergone numerous cycles of muscle gain and fat loss. Learning from my experiences and research I have identified 5 principles and share with all my clients:
1. Dedicate significant time to tracking your food intake, gaining insights into nutrition that helps you understand what you are consuming on a daily basis and how it fuels your body. Knowing how and why makes the process easier than just trying to hit numbers but not understanding what they mean or why they are important.
2. Monitor your progress through progress pictures and weekly average scale weight, revealing transformations that may surprise you, as day-to-day changes can go unnoticed.
3. Embrace simplicity in training; there's no need for elaborate workouts. Steer clear of flashy, ineffective routines, and focus on the basics for tangible results.
4. Strive for a balance between optimal and enjoyable in your training and nutrition. Follow the 80/20 rule, where 80% of your choices align with your goals, while the remaining 20% allows for enjoyment, fostering long-term commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
5. Avoid falling for exaggerated fad diets or training protocols, as I did initially. I've learned from my mistakes, and now, I hope to guide you on a more informed and successful path.

Knowing how to design and build a meal is crucial to getting healthy, for weight loss or increasing muscle mass & performance. Using this structure will ensure you have the building blocks for designing a well rounded meal. Everyday I talk to people about food and they are so confused on what they should and shouldn't eat due to the huge amount of polarizing information on socials. You DON'T need to cut any food groups out to get great results and feel amazing π
