Always fantastic to see our horses out and about with their owners.
Jotunheim-bred Paradox at Pukeahu National War Memorial, Aotearoa New Zealand
We are honoured to have supplied our Australian-born horse in authentic WWI Mounted Rifle (NZMR) uniform and tack for the capital’s inaugural Purple Poppy Day.
Pukeahu National War Memorial Park is where we remember and reflect on the country’s experience of war, military conflict, and peacekeeping. The park is also a place for memorials from countries with which we share military heritage.
Opposite its historic Carillon Tower and Tomb of the Unknown Warrior is the Australian Memorial. The Memorial consists of a series of red sandstone columns representing the ‘red centre’ and heart of Australia with further Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander design elements.
Inscribed on its central column is the word ‘ANZAC’ to honour our combined force of WWI soldiers, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
It was thus a touching detail to have a NZ rider and Australian horse for this ceremony, further demonstrating the long and close relationship between our two countries.

Exciting day at the farm. The boys were looking for attention. Then a quick vet visit for Floriane, hopefully we will have news of a pregnancy soon. The pretty pink tail wrap definitely making her feel more feminine. Nice to have a sister look after you while you’re waiting for the sedation to wear off 🙂

Well it’s been an exciting week for Khan , going out ridden. Here he is out on a trail ride with other horses, being ridden ba****ck, and getting used to a little archery. Through it all, he has displayed his wonderful calm temperament and his willingness to learn. Khan is a 4 year old registered Percheron gelding, he is by the French Stallion - Tom de Prainville and is currently for Sale. This boy is just glorious, he has been given time to grow and has been given a gentle start, he will make an exceptional ridden partner.

Khan continues his training, being reminded about bits and how to listen to his rider. This incredible young horse is proving to be the sweetest boy ever. He is going to love going out adventuring with his rider.
