💙 “Speak, even if your voice shakes.” 💙

Yesterday, our Ladybugs proudly wore blue in support of Do It For Dolly Day — a powerful movement dedicated to standing against bullying and spreading kindness in memory of Dolly Everett.

At Wynnum Ladybugs, we want every player to know that this club is more than just netball. It is a community where players should feel safe, supported, included and valued exactly as they are.

We spoke with our players about the importance of kindness, inclusion and speaking up — even when it feels hard. Whether that means reaching out for help, checking in on a teammate, standing up for someone else or simply being a friendly face, every small action matters.

We also spoke about why our club encourages friendships beyond school groups. Sport can create another safe space — a place where girls can build confidence, find connection, be themselves and know they belong.

To anyone in our community who may be struggling, feeling isolated or experiencing bullying: please reach out. Talk to a teammate, coach, volunteer, parent or someone you trust. You are never alone, and our Ladybugs family will always support you.

Kindness is strength. Inclusion matters. And sometimes the bravest thing you can do is speak — even if your voice shakes. 💙❤️🐞
