Do you find yourself doing any of these behaviours as a way to numb, distract from or avoid unpleasant emotions?
While these aren’t inherently problematic and can give a source of temporary relief, it’s just that - temporary!
Learning to adopt healthier, more helpful coping tools that really address the underlying problem/situation will help you really resolve those feelings, instead of pushing them down only for them to pop back up again later on.
