A beautiful milestone for the Institute of Living Aloha! 🌿🌺🌿

We’re celebrating our newest Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage graduates, along with Lizzie Doyle, following their first six-day training as an Institute teacher. 💗

This marks a special chapter for our school, as teachings developed and refined by our founder Charlie Snow since 2003 are now being shared by new teachers with dedication, care and aloha.

Lizzie is the first of three new Institute teachers to lead their own training, with two more preparing to share their first trainings in 2027. It’s a joy to see our teaching ʻohana grow, bringing this work to more communities.

The path of a Lomilomi Practitioner carries a deep kuleana (responsibility and privilege). Teaching this sacred work requires integrity, humility, an embodiment of aloha (unconditional love) and paʻa (an unshakeable foundation), and an ongoing commitment to our ʻohana of students and practitioners.

We honour the Kānaka Maoli (Hawaiian people), the ʻāina (land) of Hawaiʻi, and the culture from which this work comes. Our heartfelt mahalo (gratitude) to Papa K for giving our founder permission to teach, and for his continued guidance in spirit as our teaching ʻohana grows. Our deep gratitude to his wife Aunty Rebecca for her ongoing support and encouragement in this next chapter.

Congratulations to Lizzie and our newest graduates! We look forward to supporting your continuing journeys and seeing the aloha you share with your communities. 🌿

We’re delighted to celebrate Tash Kernahan (she/her), one of the Institute of Living Aloha’s newest certified Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Practitioners.

Beginning next week, Tash will be offering Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi, Remedial and Relaxation Massage at Qi Crystals Healing Centre in Caulfield South on Wednesdays from 2-6pm.

Tash is a warm-hearted and thoughtful practitioner who brings kindness, care and a strong spirit of aloha to her work. Conscientious and deeply caring by nature, she creates a welcoming space where each person can feel supported, respected and at ease.

Alongside her massage practice, Tash is a horticulturalist and parent and has worked and volunteered within the community-services sector. She brings a grounded, nurturing presence to everything she does.

Something very special is happening in Bellingen later this month...

For the first time, one of the Institute of Living Aloha’s new teachers, Lizzie Doyle, will be stepping forward to teach our 6-Day Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage Training—and they’ll be doing so back on the homelands where they grew up.

Lizzie still visits Bellingen regularly and has long dreamed of helping Lomilomi become more available within the local community. It brings me so much joy to see them now bringing this sacred and life-changing practice home.

Founder, Charlie Snow, will be there supporting Lizzie and assisting throughout the training as they take this exciting next step in their teaching journey.

This is a q***r-led, inclusive training offering much more than massage techniques. It is an opportunity to deepen your connection with yourself and others, learn a beautiful healing practice to share within your community, and become part of our wider ʻohana of Aloha Warriors.
