Congratulations to sisters Lucy and Alice on playing together for the first time in Alice’s debut PLR season for Mermaids. Mermaids secured two great wins during the Super Sunday round.

🎉HUGE Congrats to all players selected to the Australian U16 Men’s team for the World Champs in Zagreb Croatia 🇭🇷

We couldn’t be more thrilled for our two Mantas players - Jonah and Chase for making the team! In doing so, both become the first Mantas to be selected to an Australian team competing in the world stage! Jonah the first player to start his water polo as an U12 in the club.

We couldn’t be prouder!

❄️WINTER TRAINING starts next week 🤽‍♀️🤽‍♂️

It is very important that our young players continue training and playing during the off-season. We understand that many of the kids are involved in other winter sports, so we have designed a program with flexibility in mind.

MORNING SESSIONS: players can attend any one, or more, of the three available days each week.

WEEKDAY AFTERNOON SESSIONS: Players are welcome to join the U12-U14, or U14-U16 groups. All sessions will focus on core skills such as shooting, passing and blocking. You can choose the day(s) that are more suitable for you.

SUNDAY SESSIONS: will be game-based, including 5-on-5 matches and beach water polo, providing a fun and competitive environment with two games going side by side at the pool. This flexible approach is designed to help players balance water polo with their school and winter sports commitments, while continuing to develop their skills in preparation for the 2026/27 water polo season.

Huge Congrats to all players selected to the Australian teams for the 2026 U18 World Championships. 🎉

Special shout out to Mermaids’ Amelie H and Izzy O for being named to the Women’s team who will take on the best in the world in this age group in Puerto de la Cruz, Spain in August.

Congrats also to Lucy S named as a reserve player. We are proud of all our players who are part of the NAGP program. 🙌
