Gday everyone. Been a quiet year for any lure related activities. Made this mould last Xmas. Only just got around to shooting a couple. Has a belly slot with split fin at the top to help for weedless presentations. Can also be made with no belly slot allowing a couple of trebles to be pinned underneath. Also been working on a system of manufacture to allow another inner colour to be added in the belly. Whether it be UV (as with this one) or glow in the dark. Could be anything. Should be able to make some wicked looking baits. Just about got it I think. I’ll try a bit of paint on them next. Whenever that’ll be.

Getting there. 7” mullet. Pretty crappy finish due to the way it’s machined. Hopefully it’ll clean up nicely. The other is a just under 4” top water for resin. A shape I’ve had for years. Will beat carving them out of wood.

First fish in a long time. Got Smashed by this 75cm flatty. First time posing with a fish too. My fatness doesn’t do the fish justice. 😂😂 Let this one go to make plenty more.

Tried a few different things tonight. The thought is there but the ex*****on leaves a bit to be desired. I’ll have another think about it tomorrow after the beers wear off. Not particularly new techniques but a combination of a few at once. Should have chosen something smaller than a 10 in long grub to test them on. Any mods take a long time to machine. Also some 6 1/2 inch Shad bodies that will suit the 1, 1.5 & 2oz shadheads. Again tried something different. Almost worked. I’ll leave that for later.

Told ya there’s more than one 8 inch thing here. I underestimated this one. Sits 8 in the mould and hangs a good 10 off this 3oz Boofhead. Plenty of plans with this mould. A few things ricks up my sleeve. As usual, whenever I get around to it.

G’day everyone. Big thanks to Simon for giving me a model to play with. Spent the weekend machining it. Looks amazing. The paddle tail is not the only thing that’s 8 inches long at the moment 😳😳.
