Three things are assured in Life - Death, Taxes and Change. Change can be thrust upon you or you can Empower Yourself and Seek it, armed with tools to grow
CHOICE is one of the things in life I fully support, and CHANGE is one of the things in life that is fully inevitable. I believe Choice, like Freedom, should be fundamental in our daily lives but many of us don't exercise it adequately. Choice & Change go hand in hand. If you want to embrace Change, you must make the Choice to do so. If you want to change anything about you or your life, then you
have to make a conscious choice to bring it about. Some of us have a vague idea we want to improve or change something but don't really bother too much about it and so therefore never evolve or grow. Others know they want to but just don't know how. Some desperately want to, but don't have the intestinal fortitude or will-power to make it happen. Some do, but fall by the wayside quickly, as they revert back to what they are used to doing, because it's all too hard. And some, a small percentage, know the secret and make it happen...
This page is all about You being your own Catalyst. Don't wait for the Doctor to give you an ultimatum before you change your Health programme. Don't wait for the scales to scream at you to 'GET OFF' before you tackle excess poundage. Don't wait to get fired or made redundant before you find that new, exciting job you are craving. Don't wait for an outside influence to make a choice FOR you. Make it yourself. This page is all about stepping up, recognising your desire to change, giving you tools, tips and ideas to step into a new life, inspiring you to pull yourself up by the bootstraps in this amazing lifetime you have and make the best of it. Nobody has all the answers, I certainly don't but I have lots of ideas and wisdom gleaned from living and learning, and experiences, victories and failures. I'd like to share them and help inspire others to step up; and realise if they want to Change, they must first make the Choice to do so and to be their own Catalyst to make it happen. And if you have something to share also, please feel free to do so, we can all learn from each other. The Rules here are simple : Do what Thou Wilt, but Harm Ye None - this means all thoughts, words & deeds. Welcome and Namaste ! WHY CHOICE FOR CHANGE - BE YOUR OWN CATALYST? I chose to call this page ‘Choice for Change – Be your own Catalyst’ for a reason. To have change in your life, one must make a choice to change. Sometimes change comes about because of an outside influence. For example: from the movie ‘Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead’, the subject, Joe, started a juice fast to lose weight and get healthy. He had an autoimmune disease and carried an unhealthy amount of weight. FACT: He already knew he had to lose weight. FACT: He already knew that a healthy diet would achieve that. ACTION: But the Cataylst to actually do something about it came from an outside source – his disease. I want this page to be filled with little snippets of wisdom and learning and ideas to spark change in others. It won’t resonate with everyone, just those at that time of their life when they are really open to improvement and yearning to know more about all sorts of things, to enhance their lives. I’m not looking to have thousands of Likes, I’m looking to learn right along with the rest of you. I’m also hoping you will share the posts that you like, or have meaning for you, so that others might learn too. But I’m mainly hoping that something you read here sparks your own desire to change for the better BEFORE THERE IS ANY OTHER REASON TO DO SO. No ill health. No injury. No ultimatum in any way, shape or form. Just you being your own Catalyst through nothing more than your own desire. I want you to be mindfully aware enough of yourself to be pro-active in making changes yourself, via your own decision, and in the time-frame you choose. Baby steps – we can explore Change together...how much you choose to change is also totally up to you!

A lovely tray of the most delicious slice I’ve ever had, hand-made by a truly lovely young man who catered a workshop for us a couple of years ago. He owned a local cafe I frequented regularly until he sold it. He tragically took his own life last year through depression, not that you’d ever have known he suffered (but isn’t that often the way of it ?) and he is greatly missed by many people. He was the loveliest human and he left a happy, wonderful impression on all he met and knew. Such a shame.
