So we have had a few months break. Is there a thought we should recommence? We need at least 12 committed players. Also, do you have any thoughts on the way we play. I don't enjoy the new game as much, especially the kicking bit.
I can start a game on HEJA, so we can at least know who is coming, before we drive 40 minutes to a game. Cheers

We have at this stage, merged with a game on flats no 5. They have an app HEJA, for the sopatouch game played on Sunday at 4:00 pm.

However, with AJ, Tim, Benny and Azza all suffering injuries today SAFT is looking far safer....

Gentlemen, as you are probably aware, numbers have declined over the past 2 years. Recently, we have been joining a game on #5 oval, which is more touch rugby league, at the same time. Whilst this is disappointing, as it is not the same free flowing game SAFT is used to, unless we get a greater commitment to numbers, SAFT will have to take a break, or, after 18 years at this location, close down.
What say you? There are many "casual" attendees who would rock up only once or twice a year, and all were welcome. Do we persist and encourage the next generation to keep up the tradition so their children have the same experience?

Don't forget, another long weekend, so the run is Monday afternoon. Have a nap today so you can make the dawn service and still be right for a run in the arvo.

Happy Easter all. As per protocol, the run will be on Easter Monday at 4:00pm. Unfortunately, a few players have now found themselves in isolation due to 'Rona, but the run is still on. Spread the word and train up to catch the bunny next year.

Great run on Sunday. Visits by 2 legends of the game, Benny and Gen 2 Pat. Emperor had his first run for 2022 and has lost nothing in the off season..

We are back on today at the Sunday Ashgrove Flats Touch at 4:00pm. Bring a friend (or enemy if you want them to play with Greg) and have a run.

Flats are still closed. Not sure about Dorrington Park. Anyone nearby able to confirm if the hockey fields are open yet. If so touch is back on today.

Now a little bit of water usually doesn't stop us....but, this much water stops us getting there, so touch today is cancelled until I can get enough kayaks and stand up paddle boards for everyone....
