The Cricket Music Bash is a Cricket event that involves local Aussie and Pacific Island Boys to showcase Cricket in a more Festival and Big Bashes style!

The Cricket Music Bash is a Cricket event that involves local Aussie and Pacific Island Boys to showcase Cricket in a more Festival and Big Bashes style. We combine Cricket, Reggae style music, steeldrum bands, Exotic food and coloured uniforms to make cricket a more viberant feeling at club level. Formerly known as THE SUMMER MUSIC BASH our 1st event was a non profit charity event for THE MCGRATH

FOUNDATION. It first took place Sunday 21st November 2010 at Graceville Memorial Park, Graceville, Queensland - HOME OF THE STATE OF ORIGIN of Course. The Idea was put together between Levi Thomas Mathews, Tui Tulili and DJ Maxwell (From Mystique Franchise). With DJ Maxwell love for Music and Tui and Levi love for Cricket, this made an excellent ingredient to have great feel to the games. Cricket was not the only sport being played - Mystique also held fun games event involving

EGG on A SPOON relay. The Cricket Game was played between THE BIG BASHING PACIFIC ISLAND XI against THE EVER GRUNT MACHINE of the AUSSIE BANDITS. They play for a trophy called the THE BASHES CUP or THE BASHES.

2010 saw Pacific Islanders win by six wickets chasing 136 to win. Sunday March 4th 2012 event will be a special one - South East queensland were swamped with floods this year - Especially in the GRACEVILLE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. The event was to give the Community the Knowledge that we are here for them. That year, The Pacific Island once again took The BASHES in over night rain affected match of 30 over max. The Islanders hammered the ausse getting them all out 101. The Boys of the Pacific made it 2 in a row retaining the Bashes. This was also the 1st year the islanders and the aussies wore coloured uniforms, bringing even more flavour to the Bash. Easter Weekend Battle between the teams took place at Slacks Creek, Meakin Park what was now the new CRICKET MUSIC BASH - with a new name, came a new champions - The Aussie Bandits destroying the Pacific to a mere 79 runs after they were to chase 200+ runs to win. THE BASHES will take place March 2014 In ITS 4th year running and hopping to make it a even bigger event. Our Goal is to bring people together of all walks of life to have fun with good food, beer, music and a good game of cricket. The way it should Cricket has been made to be.

Aussie Bandits XI VS Pasifika / Pacific Island Cricket - Est 2010

In the 4th edition of the Cricket music Bash - The 2 talented cricket teams will square off in the massive oval of deagon sports field, home of the Sandgate and Redcliff district cricket club.

The defending Champions Aussie will have their first defence after demolishing the Islanders for mere 79 setting the total of 260 to win at Logan in the 3rd Bashes Series 2013. It wasn't all smooth sailing for the aussies as they were 2/3 at one stage lead by Tulili marksmen Paul Faunt, Latu Pei and the veteran Tai Baitina.

It looked like normal service for the islanders as they were the 2X holders of the bashes. But all hope dashed when the Western Suburbs pair of Levi Thomas Mathews (106) and Chris Raymond (51) put on an astonishing 150+ run partnership. The skipper Matt Thomas was well and truley settled after a nervous start. Big Tipi Faumauina cleaning everyone with an impressive debut 5/38.

Wickets fell like a house of cards with the Islanders with Mark Hennessay claiming 6/41 pinching the majority of the team including a hat rick

So now after that effort it has come down to this - Some would say that despite the young guns of Kunaal Kumar and Karan Kumar - for the islanders - that they are bit over the hill.

However the Islanders would be the last team to back down, and if their is one thing thats more dangerous is that the islanders never forget easily. They will be primed and ready for this battle to exact a bit of furious revenge.
The Aussies will be a typical young talented and vibrant team full of confidence coming into the game on their national holiday as they defend the title.

Is the wolf climbing the mountain more hungry then the wolf on top of it - or will he just collapse under weakness.

Its going to be tough and good game.

The 3rd Cricket Music Bash was at its new Location at Meakin Park, Slacks Creek.
Pasifika / Pacific Island Cricket - Est 2010 looking to retain the title having won the Past 2 competitions however the Aussie Bandits XI squashed any hope of retention winning by 181 runs.

Congratulations and We'll See both teams next year.

Well its all over for another day of Cricket music Bash - and the Aussies Bandits take out their 1st ever BASHES CUP led by there courageous captain Matt Thomas.

Aussie Destroyed the the islanders pace attack notching up a a score of a bashes record of 260 all out.

Giving the Pasifika / Pacific Island Cricket - Est 2010 known hitting power - Tui Tulili lads from the pacific were all out to an embarrassing 79 off only 12 overs.

A pitiful perfomance to the islanders and will be a very dissapointed in there efforts today.

They have alot to think about for next coming year. It will be a very disappointing clubrooms tonight .

The Aussie deserved this trophy in every way - batting very well to accomodate there talented bowling efforts.
