You don’t have to be racing to enjoy the festivities. Come down to the Club for a relaxed night of live folk music from The Fo’c’sle, a spirited maritime band bringing sea shanties and traditional folk tunes to life with accordion, acoustic guitar and good humour.

Whether you’re a sailor, supporter or just after a great night out, everyone’s welcome.

The countdown is on for the 50th Vintage Yacht Regatta, kicking off Saturday 19 July at QCYC.

Whether you're keen to race or simply enjoy being under sail, it’s shaping up to be a great weekend on the water. Saturday night will be a relaxed gathering at the Club, with live folk and sea shanty music from The Fo’c’sle, a rope splicing competition, and meals available for purchase.

Proudly supported by Husk Farm Distillery – with prize packs including Bam Bam Rum, a signature glass and chocolates.

Also on board: Bronze and Brass Fasteners Pty Ltd, contributing prize packs of quality bronze and brass fasteners. Proudly Australian and family owned.

The 2025 Queensland Cruising Yacht Club Vintage Yacht Regatta marks a special milestone. It’s been 50 years since the first event in 1976, when just six boats lined up on the start line.

Now one of the longest-running classic yacht events in the country, the Regatta brings together a wide mix of timber vessels. From restored dinghies to ocean-going ketches, and the skippers who keep them sailing.

Whether you’re on the water, watching from the shore, or joining us at the Club, it’s a great weekend to celebrate sailing history on Moreton Bay.

Thanks to Husk Farm Distillery for providing prizes and in-kind support for the event. Their products will also be available at the bar throughout the weekend.
