Congratulations and thank you, Taylah.

At the end of this week, Taylah Spall will finish her role with Water Polo Queensland and commence an exciting new position.

This is a wonderful opportunity and a natural step in Taylah’s career. She leaves WPQ with our full support and very best wishes. We are genuinely delighted to see Taylah continue her professional journey within Queensland sport.

Taylah first joined WPQ as an intern, working one day a week. After a brief stint in Touch Rugby League, she returned to WPQ more than 3 ½ years ago and became one of our most valued and trusted members.

There’s very little within WPQ to which Taylah hasn’t contributed. She’s managed major events, including State Titles, Junior and Senior Country Championships, Pan Pac Masters, and Australian Country Championships.

Taylah has also managed WPQ’s school competitions and program portfolio, including sporting schools, Term 2 School Boys, AIC and Boys Invitational. One of her most significant achievements has been helping to grow Queensland All Schools from a two-day competition into a flagship three-day tournament, with more than 70 teams, including interstate, now participating.

She also played a key role in establishing and rebranding the Brisbane Metropolitan Competition – and previously ran WPQ’s social media. Her impact across competitions, schools, events and community engagement has been enormous.

We’ll miss Taylah’s energy, commitment and ability to make things happen. Fortunately, she’s not leaving Water Polo; Taylah will continue to coach, referee, and play within the community.

Taylah, thank you for all you’ve contributed to WPQ and to water polo in Queensland.

Congratulations on your new role; we’re immensely proud of you and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in this next chapter.
