Matwork Pilates with 😍
Such a pleasure to teach and guide these incredible women on the mat this morning.
With many different backgrounds we incorporated exercises to strengthen running technique, postpartum stages, resistance training and ultimately injury prevention. Focusing on our foundational muscles to provide hip stability and movement efficiency. Lots of laughs and even better, lots of πŸ”₯

Keeping the spine healthy and happy with slow yet purposeful movement πŸ™ŒπŸ½
I have been noticing, since spending more time in a desk job my body craves this by the end of the week, even each day πŸ˜…

Being mindful of our posture throughout the day is incredibly important for longevity of movement.

My biggest tip is πŸ‘‰πŸ½ any posture held longer than 20-30mins is a bad posture.

Tips and tricks you can use during your day:
πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™€οΈset an timer
πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™€οΈ have a small drink bottle so u have to get up and fill it often
πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Put a sticker on your computer screen and when you notice it stretch

It has been some time since I’ve worked on the Olympic lift of sn**ch. I stayed at this weight to focus on technique & not injure myself πŸ˜…
You can see:
πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Vertically I’m not getting enough height or hip extension,
πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ My weight distribution at the beginning of the lift is not equal,
πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Contact on my hips could be higher &
πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ throughout the lift also keeping my eyes up.

From here I will be able to program isolated exercises to improve my overall lift. Beginning with vertical shrugs & probably back off to hang sn**ches.
