Good Afternoon on and all,

Apologies for the deafening silence but that's where UQ Baseball Club does its best work.

For those new to the page and wanting to know more about the club. Welcome, my name is Coach Aiden and I will be Chubbs to
your Happy Gilmour.

We'll be once again looking to put a team into the local SQWBL 'Winterball' comp which varies in skill level from those players for years and those wanting to dip their toes in. Last year the rate was $182 dollars to register for the competition which equals about 18 bucks a game which is good value. All equipment you don't have we can supply. There are several fields we go to including Pine Hills, Southern Stars and West Bulldogs for which carpools will be on offer. Season tends to start around mid April so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

The time has come! It is round 1 and UQ are up on stage. We will be playing at Pine Hills Lightning second diamond at 1.30 today. If you still want to see what the club is all about or just watch a team utter try to hit nothing but fingers and fall very short of the mark, come down and join!

Welcome all to the warming up period of the UQ Baseball Club. We’ve got some big plans this year including what will be the introduction of a new uniform as well as what will be the passing of the torch to the new generation of executive board.

We’ll be at the Market Day Stalls until 12.30 so come past and say hello.

Due to COVID:19, University Nationals 2021 has been cancelled, therefore, unfortunately, UQ Baseball will not be entering a team. Here's hoping to a return in the 2022 season.

Hey all,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will only be one week of trials occurring not the aforementioned 2 weeks of trials.

The trials to make the UQ National Baseball Team will occur on the 3rd of August on Field 1 (cricket field) with general organising and housekeeping occurring from 1600-1630, with coaches then arriving @ 1630 to set up the sessions and warm ups to occur, for a 1700 start of the trials.

The board is finalising minor details regarding fees and accomodation so please bear with us while we finalise these and will give details out as soon as possible.

UQ Baseball Club are proud to announce that trials to participate in the National University Games as part of UQ Baseball Club will occur Tuesday 27th of July and 3rd of August, with the field pending UQ Sport confirmation so keep eyes out for details tomorrow. We will be looking to take 14-16 players and two coaches to the event which occurring at Gold Coast from the 27th of September to the 1st of October. As this is a trial-merited squad, there will be a selection process by coaches and members of the executive committee so if you wish to participate you must attend a trial or submit a brief playing history in your expression of interest.
Due to COVID:19 restrictions on hotels and uniform changes, there will be additional cost to each player which will be explained in the expression of interest.
