Located on the Nathan campus of Griffith University the Nathan fitness centre offers a fun and friendly training envionment for all fitness levels.

The Nathan Fitness Centre is open to University students and staff as well as the local community. Our Centre is fully equipped with pin-loaded, free weights and electronic cardio exercise machines. We have some electrical maintenance scheduled for next week that will affect some of our cardio equipment.

Hi everyone,

The Nathan Fitness Centre will be closed on the following weekends, due to building maintenance works:
▪️ Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May
▪️ Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May

Members may choose to access Mt Gravatt Aquatic & Fitness Centre, which is open from 7.30am-12pm on Saturdays.

We apologise for the inconvenience this causes.

"I joined the Nathan Fitness Centre at the start of the year after moving into Bellenden Ker accommodation, and it’s been an amazing and affordable way to stay fit at uni! My favourite part of the gym is definitely the Mat Pilates classes - I go every week and absolutely love them! The centre also has a huge range of equipment, and I had a really helpful introduction session with Andrew when I first joined. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the gym a great environment to be in and a really enjoyable experience. I'm absolutely loving it so far!"

Hi everyone!

We have a change to the Group Fitness timetable for the month of May. Starting tomorrow, H.I.I.T Pilates will be replacing 15/15/15 on Friday's at 12pm.

H.I.I.T Pilates is a fusion style class that gives you a H.I.I.T workout but is based on Pilates principles. It's high intensity but low impact so the heart rate will be up, but it is easy on the joints. A great combination for strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health.

Griffith Sport are currently looking for a casual Fitness Instructor / Receptionist to join our team at the Nathan Fitness Centre.

As an instructor, you'll have the opportunity to help members on the gym floor, develop member exercise programs, undertake personal training sessions, as well as run a selection of weekly group fitness classes. When covering reception, you'll be that friendly face when people check-in, and be responsible for admin tasks including signing up members and processing bookings.

Required Qualifications:
◼️ Cert III or IV in Fitness (or a Diploma of Fitness)
◼️ Current first aid and CPR
◼️ Current Blue Card
◼️ Mornings, evenings and weekend availability required

Hi everyone!

We have a change to the Group Fitness timetable from next Wednesday 29 April, with H.I.I.T Circuit replacing Box H.I.I.T, at 7am.

H.I.I.T Circuit is an ever-changing, station-based group session that will get your heart rate up through timed exercises. Motivating and adaptable for all fitness levels.

Good morning everyone,

Following on from last week's building maintenance, we have cleaners coming in to complete some cleaning works between Monday 13 April - Friday 17 April.

The fitness centre will still be open for use. Equipment will be moved around to accommodate the work being done, please ask one of our staff members if you require any assistance locating equipment. Please also be aware of any barriers and exclusion zones that are put into place.

All equipment is due to be back in place by Friday mid-morning.
