There is less than 1 week till BACK 2 TANGAS 2025. Friday & Saturday dinners and Sunday Breakfast is included in your entry fee. On Saturday from 4pm nibbles will be served (also included in entry fee), so come on in to the Club land and enjoy the view, tell us your fishing stories while having a icey cold drink, which is available for purchase each day from 1pm.

With only two weeks from this coming Friday to Start Fishing for Back to Tanga 2025, please find our brochure with all the tournament details. We certainly can’t forget Jimmy, Ryan and the gang from Aqua Mobile Marine. Once again they are supplying, along with Suzuki Marine, the inflatable tender and a 6 hp Suzuki outboard for the Junior last man standing prize. They are also donating some great hard eskies as well as some great cooler bags and the guys are always around to lend us a hand when required.
John and Sharyn from Redland Bay Garage have donated $1000 cash to the Champion MBGFC Angler, what a great prize. Russell Caporn, Kaizen, who has been supporting our comp from the start is once again putting forward the one day charter.
Ian and Jordan Zappala, Energy Rating Consulting and Zapps Lures have been very generous once again this year. As well as donating some lures and tuna flaps, Jordan has offered up a prize of $500 cash for the angler who catches the first billfish on a ZAPPS LURE. Video or photo evidence must be used and submitted to the club.
This year instead of our normal polo shirts for anglers and crew, we are supplying long sleeved, collared fishing shirts, purchased from Undertow Saltwater Apparel who are sponsoring us once again with event flags and vouchers.
Our faithful sponsors TriTech, Ionnic, Tackle Tactics, BCF, RL Marine, Redlands Sporting Club, Reelax, Pakula Lures and Bells Pure Ice are once again putting their hands up. Tackle Tactics are still supplying a Platypus Pack but also donating a couple of $500 vouchers for Pelagic Gear. Hudson Brewing came on board last year and are doing so once again. Everyone enjoyed their awesome ginger beer and specialty beer, check them out at 28 Gibbs Street, Wynnum.
# # has even put their hands up this year, # # Gold is always a very popular drink at our well stocked bar, especially if you are a Qlder. Two more generous companies who have sponsored this year are The Property Scout, who have donated shirts and bottles of wine, and also Hux Mobile Catering and Mex Food Truck, who are donating a voucher for heaviest other game fish with $50 per kg, eg. If it is a 10 kg Wahoo, there would be a $500 voucher for Hux Catering.

Working Bee weekend. Despite it being rainy and a bit chilli, lots achieved. Drain around south end of building, kitchen painted, sound system improvements, TV now on swivel bracket. Storeroom reorganised, tournament bar area cleaned up and general tidy. Thanks to our volunteers.
