There’s nothing flashy about steady practice. In a world of fast flows and constant novelty, it can almost feel… too simple🪷
But traditional yoga was never designed to entertain🧘🏽♀️
If you’re curious about beginning, feel free to DM any questions💬
There’s no booking system
No pressure to perform
Just a space to practice
See you on the mat🤍

Ashtanga Vinyasa–inspired yoga classes 🌿
Rooted in breath, tradition, and authentic practice.
Each class is a one-hour, guided Ashtanga-inspired practice designed to build strength, clarity, and consistency — supporting both body and mind.
🕯 Meditation from 5:45am
Before class, the space is open for quiet meditation, gentle warming up, or simply lying down and arriving.
This time supports nervous system regulation, mental clarity, and helps shift from “doing” into presence — so the practice begins from a calm, grounded place.
Why practise Ashtanga?
• breath-led movement
• structured, grounding sequences
• builds strength + flexibility
• cultivates discipline + clarity
• supports a lifelong yoga practice
Classes are:
✔️ beginner friendly
✔️ all levels welcome
✔️ community-focused
✔️ tradition-respecting
✔️ taught with care and humility
📍 New Farm Macedonian Hall
🧘 Mats & props provided if you don’t have your own
🤍 A welcoming space to practice — not perform

Astavakrasana (eight twist pose) ✨🔱
Yoga postures are deeply rooted in Indian culture and Hindu mythology, and they offer us some ways to look closer at these sacred shapes.
Many of the yoga poses are named after Hindu deities (gods),or are inspired by nature.
But this one posture is inspired by the sage Astavakra. When the sage was in his mother’s womb, his father Kagola made several mistakes while reciting the ancient vedas. Hearing these, the unborn sage laughed. His father became enraged and cursed his unborn son to be born crooked. So it came to pass that he was born twisted in eight places, and was thus named Astavakra.
