Why train in a 450 year old Koryu sword school ?

There are many reasons, preservation of tradition etc. but ultimately it’s to help us be the best we can be , polish us as humans.

Yesterday I had to do one of the hardest things iv ever done in my life as adult- give a Eulogy for one of my best friends. I don’t think I would have been able to do this with out the dissapline imparted through the training and the lessons taught by Sensei and the art.

Post cyclone Alfred no students impacted greatly and the dojo also was unscathed - classes have resumed and we were back to training last night

So after a short break over the festive season - class is back on tonight! 7pm seikukan dojo

Last training of the year - small class tonight but good to see the ladies all using 2.9 Shaku swords !
