There are so many people to thank for the love and support you have shown throughout our Kokoda Challenge adventures. Our immediate families who have supported us with all the training hikes and time away from home and our (sometimes) whinging about sore musles and exhaution. To our familes and friends for words of encouragment, donations and constant support. Our official support crew Tamie and Tanya for your time and commitment. To the Ippy Chicks - we are strong, determined and together we can truly do anything.

I read this today…
“Having the right tribe is important for success. There are five types of people you want to surround yourself with: the inspired, the passionate, the motivated, the grateful and the open minded”.
It made me feel incredibly proud to be part of this team and look back on everything we have accomplished. I am so grateful to have met these beautiful ladies. Not so long ago, when we first decided to take part in the Kokoda Challenge we only just knew each other. Now I can truly say that we are friends. There have been plenty of laughs, lots of adventures, maybe a little pain and a few tears. And coffee, can’t forget coffee! But through it all we felt supported and encouraged by one another. I am sad that due to my unfortunate accident I won’t be walking with you girls this weekend, but I will be cheering for you the whole way. You are an amazing group of women who will tackle this with strength and determination. You will smash it! Thank you Ippy Chicks so much for being my tribe. 🤗😘

What an interesting morning, excitement overload. We planned on doing 38km, at Flinders Peak. Carla had a tumble and she had to get stretchered out. SES were incredible and we wish Carla a speedy recovery. Will keep our supporters up to date when we know.

What a day! 23km with over 1000m elevation in 6hrs. It was a huge effort by the ladies and a great training run for the trek in 4 weeks. A HUGE thanks to Bec Dakin for getting up early to drive us there, wait around, get us coffee and drive us home.
