Because that's what helps us. As men we need to fix, solve, achieve and DO. It's just that sometimes we don't know what has stopped us from doing that.

Toughen up.
You're not the only one.
There's always someone worse off.

It seems there's no shortage of reasons people want to tell you to ignore a painful experience. Thing is, those people enjoy playing the victim to they're own pain, constantly you to themselves or someone they know.

You can accept your experiences as painful, even traumatic, and still function. It doesn't have to stop you living your life. But ultimately if you ignore it, that unhealed and ignored part of you will grow and take over.

For the people who've pushed on for too long, ignored their pain and are now seeing the cumulative effects of it, this is for you.

It's bad for me. But it's familiar.

How often have you shrugged off the fact that something doesn't work for you, then let yourself off the hook by saying, "it's comfortable"?

Every time you allow yourself that excuse, avoid your growth and settle, you're one step further away from living the life you know you're capable of living.

I get it. Change is scary. But being in the same spot in 1, 5, 10 years time should terrify you.

If it doesn't, well, maybe this whole "getting better" thing isn't for you.

Is this all for you? Or for approval?

Sometimes you run on autopilot, doing the things you think you should be doing, saying yes when you mean no, because that's "just what you do".

Have you stopped and wondered why? Or for who? Is it for you? Or for approval from strangers, a friend, or at a deeper level, a parent?

Trauma lays deep, creating beliefs, values and patterns of behaviour. Only when the wheels start to fall off do we pay attention to what isn't working. Then we can choose to ask "why".

Why do I do this?
Why is this important to me?
Why do I continue doing it if I know it isn't serving me?

Pressure shows the behaviours and eliminates the surface level noise. Then we get to see the "why".

Back yourself, even when others don't.

As soon as you raise your head above the parapet, someone will always try and shoot you down. It can sting even more when it's someone in a position you once respected.

It's not about qualifications, it's about experience. Win, lose or draw, everything from your past has shaped you.

We are called to serve.

Everything we do is to get the best result from each participant. That's why our course changes in small ways every time.

People don't want to "play Army". They want to solve their problems. And they want help doing.
