Drizzly little morning calls for warming eats but if you're a fan of the SMOOTHIE π up the ante on flavour and give this little beauty a WHIRL!
NAT'S WINTER WARMER SMOOTHIE!
Ingredients
1 banana frozen - makes your smoothie more deliciously thick!
1/2 c filtered water
1 organic orange, flesh only + zest
1/2 t cinnamon powder
pinch of cayenne
fresh ginger & turmeric sliced (try a couple of thin slices to start)
sea salt & pepper to taste
1 t raw honey
12 activated almonds - we're adding these in now and making almond milk as we go!
Method
Add all ingredients to a blender and whizz until well combined
ENJOY!

Sure, your β€ rate is going to get HIGH if you're working hard, but these INTERVALS are NOT true High Intensity Interval Training.
Repeat β‘ this is NOT H.I.I.T!
This is H.I.S.S = High Intensity Steady State exercise
= your HEART RATE gets HIGH and there's no way it's recovering during your OFF!
We absolutely need both styles of METABOLIC CONDITIONING but there's a time and place and a very particular individual dosage that's going to elicit a HEALTH BENEFIT - which is what YOU want, right?
Too much H.I.S.S, especially if you have auto-immune conditions or are experiencing hormonal fluctuations (think naturally cycling women + women in all stages of menopause) IS going to BREAK YOU DOWN, not build you up!
Repeat β‘ BREAK YOU DOWN, not build you up!
So, if this is how you are currently training, day after day after day, ask your Coach why & then get them to explain the benefits they are hoping to elicit for you and how that's tied to your goals.
