We're looking forward to welcoming athletes to the club this weekend for our first Come and Try Saturday of the season.

Saturday 29 August at 3pm - we have an info session for new families to athletics, new families to our club, and any familiar faces who want to come down for a pre-season check-in.
Not a comp - but a chance to hear from our Committee, check out some of our events and for parents to learn more about the flow of our Saturdays.

π£ UPCOMING INTRODUCTION TO OFFICIATING WORKSHOPS
A number of free Introduction to Officiating Workshops are being held across Queensland over the next eight weeks thanks to Little Athletics Queensland
These workshops are a great opportunity for parents and volunteers to learn the basics of officiating and build their confidence in helping at weekly competitions.

A trial with City North is a great way to decide if Little Athletics and our club are right for you and your athletes.
For $20, you get 2 Saturday competition days as well as the opportunity to attend up to 4 training sessions over a 2 week period.
* Saturday 5 September, 2:45pm-5pm
* Saturday 12 September, 2:45pm-5pm
and training nights on Tuesday and Thursday between 5:45pm-6:45pm.

If we're right for you and you want to sign up for the whole season, the trial fee is subtracted from the membership cost.

Introducing LAQ's U11 & U12 Transitional Events Series - a brand-new athlete development opportunity designed to help young athletes build confidence and technique in three key transitional events: Triple Jump I Javelin I High Jump (Flop)
Led by experienced coaches, each session will focus on teaching the fundamentals and correct techniques athletes need as they progress through Little Athletics.
Athletes will choose two events to train in on the day, with 45 minutes of dedicated coaching in each event. Choose 2 activities for $30!
Brisbane - City North Little Athletics - Sunday 13 September | 8:30amβ11:00am
Each athlete will also take home an information pack covering all three transitional events, packed with handy tips to continue developing their skills. Open to U11 & U12 athletes registered with any Little Athletics Centre in Queensland, as well as athletes currently trialing with the intention of registering for the season.
Places are limited, with event selections available on a first-in basis. Build the skills now. Take them into the season with confidence.

Get ready for one of the highlights of the season! The Coles Spring Carnival nominations are Now Open.
The Coles Spring Carnival is open to all registered U7βU17 Little Athletics Queensland athletes, regardless of ability. Athletes can nominate for up to four events, making it the perfect opportunity to experience a larger competition while having fun with friends and family.
The carnival will be held on Saturday 19 September 2026 at the Bundaberg Region Athletics Facility, Enid Ethel Drive.
Whether you're chasing a new PB, trying a new event, or simply enjoying the carnival atmosphere, there's something for everyone!
