WELCOME TO RED HILL, WILSON DE COURCEY! 🐎❤️💛

The Brisbane Broncos have officially confirmed another addition to the 2027 squad, signing exciting young outside back Wilson De Courcey.

For the Thoroughbreds who might not know too much about our newest Bronco yet — there is plenty to like here. 👀

The 21-year-old centre/winger stands at 184cm and 100kg and originally came through the St Clair Comets and Penrith Panthers pathways before making the move to Newcastle. He is also a former Australian Schoolboy and made his NRL debut for the Knights earlier this year.

But his NSW Cup numbers are what really caught our eye.

🔥 18 tries from 20 games in 2026
💥 81 tackle breaks
🏃 2,638 running metres
📈 131 metres per game
⚡ 14 line breaks
🎯 3 try assists

And across his NSW Cup career, the official NRL stats have him at an eye-catching 37 tries from 38 appearances. 😳

Earlier reports indicated De Courcey has signed a two-year deal through to the end of 2028, giving Madge another big, powerful young outside back to throw into what should be a very competitive pre-season.

With some serious movement happening in Brisbane’s backline heading into 2027, this feels like one of those signings with plenty of upside.

What are we thinking Thoroughbreds? Is this an important piece of the puzzle and is the club putting their money in the right parts of the business?

Huge get if it comes through, will be interesting to see the result and potential fall out from this as I am sure the Knights won’t be too impressed to be losing an asset like Peter O’Sullivan.

👀 JONAH PEZET ALREADY PUTTING IN WORK AT RED HILL

Peter Badel is reporting that incoming Broncos recruit Jonah Pezet has already stopped into Red Hill for an informal solo training run, months before he officially joins the club.

After a frustrating season with the Eels, it certainly looks like the young half is keen to make an impression early and hit the ground running in Brisbane.

With the Broncos heading into 2027 with plenty of competition in the halves, every little bit counts. Ben Hunt, Ezra Mam, Tom Duffy and Pezet all potentially fighting for spots, and Pezet clearly isn’t waiting until pre-season to get started.

NRLW Player Spotlight - Preliminary Finals 🏉

Jesse Southwell - Precision. It’s all about picking moments, and Jesse is world class in that department. Her game based around her kicking game, adding in her running game & topped off with pass selection. She had 2 try assists, 16 runs for 128m with 2 tackle breaks, 2 line break assists, 14 tackles with no errors and kicked for 412m. 🐴
