TWINKLE TOES WANTS THE NO.3 OR NO.4 JERSEY 👀✨

According to Joel Gould, Deine Mariner is aiming to make a permanent move from the wing into the centres.

We’ve had glimpses of him there before, and we get another look this weekend as he continues to build his case for a full-time switch.

It is an interesting one for the Broncos. Mariner has the footwork, speed and attacking instincts to cause plenty of problems closer to the action, but centre also brings a much bigger defensive workload and more responsibility with decision-making.

He has also made it clear that he is chasing a place in the Toa Samoa squad for the World Cup at the end of the year, so a strong run in the centres could come at the perfect time.

Peter Badel is reporting that Shawn Blore has signed with the Brisbane Broncos after recently touring the club’s facilities at Red Hill.

CODE Sports is also reporting the move, and while there has been no official announcement from the Broncos just yet… we all know Badel is basically Red Hill’s unofficial town crier at this point. 👀

Blore brings aggression, edge presence, finals experience and a hard-nosed style that should fit perfectly into the standards His Madgesty is trying to build.

After the Broncos’ forward depth was tested heavily this season, adding a proven backrower from the Storm system feels like exactly the type of recruitment the club needed.

Then there are players like Corey Jensen — the men who quietly hold a football team together.

We are devastated that circumstances outside Corey’s control have ended an outstanding career far earlier than anyone wanted. Corey Jensen was the glue in the Broncos forward pack.

He did the difficult carries. Absorbed the contact. Cleaned up through the middle. Made his tackles. Chased from the inside. Won rucks that rarely appeared in highlights and completed efforts that often went unnoticed. But they mattered. Every single one of them mattered.

Corey did not simply happen to be part of Brisbane’s 2025 premiership-winning team. Corey Jensen helped the Broncos win that premiership. Take away his reliability, toughness, metres and stability through the middle, and who knows whether Brisbane still lifts that trophy? He earned that premiership ring.

Corey made his NRL debut in 2017 and played 58 games for North Queensland, including the 2017 Grand Final, before moving more than 1,000 kilometres from his family to chase an opportunity at Red Hill. That sacrifice should never be overlooked.

He finishes with 95 games in Brisbane colours — agonisingly close to becoming a Broncos centurion — and a reputation built on toughness, humility, leadership and consistency. The type that earned him the Kevin Walters Medal as the club’s Most Consistent Player.
