Physical culture has been a core pillar of society since our earliest existence, from our beginnings as hunter gatherers, reliant on our ability to hunt and fight to protect, survive and evolve πΉ Itsβ role in society has evolved from then to modern time, where itΒ plays a huge role in athletic entertainment, the arts, personal development and health and wellness.Β
We believe in physical culture π₯
We believe that it plays an integral role in our cardiovascular, metabolic and bone health, vitality, wellness, and ultimately our longevity π₯
Physical culture offers a unique opportunity for competition, collaboration and community engagement.
Physical training supports mindfulness, improves our ability to manage stress and anxiety, and is hugely energising.
It is an amazing tool for the pursuit of personal growth and progression, and the development and expression of discipline and resilience.
Society has been through a decline in physical culture and a physical devolution in recent decades, but there is definitely an exciting shift happening, seen by the popularity of obstacle course and fun run events, fitness modalities like Crossfit, TV shows like Ninja Warrior, and boutique fitness studios like ours offering a holistic and engaging whole systems approach to performance and human optimisation πͺπ§ββοΈποΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈ

6 Steps to Reclaiming Your Wellbeing at Work π©βπ»π§ββοΈ
1. BYO lunch / prep dinner π₯ Bringing healthy lunches to work ensures that what you are eating is nourishing and appropriately portioned. A healthy dinner prepped in advance can also be a game changer when you are too tired to cook.
2. Donβt keep junk food at your desk π« Keep healthy snacks at work like nuts, homemade bliss balls, jerky, boiled eggs, fruit, gummies, so that you can avoid having cravings and have a healthy option when you feel hungry.
3. Team up with a colleague πͺ Find someone who is also trying to be their healthiest, fittest self, and keep each other accountable. Saying no to a cupcake at morning tea will be a lot easier if youβre not alone!
4. Move regularly π§ββοΈ Sitting for long periods can be detrimental to posture and mobility, as well as negatively affecting your metabolism. Try taking the stairs, getting up and doing some light stretches, and going for short walks outside. Even a quick break from staring at your screen and a bit of fresh air will increase alertness and circulation.
5. Stay hydrated π¦ Dehydration leads to fatigue, hunger, headaches and sugar cravings. If you donβt enjoy water, try adding fruit and herbs to your bottle for flavouring, or opt for herbal teas.
6. Sleep π΄ Sleep is critical to staying healthy in a stressful environment. Without enough sleep, you are not only less productive, but also more likely to get sick, make poor food choices and be less resilient. Prioritise sleep like you would an important meeting and remember that itβs not just about quantity but quality.
Small changes make a big difference. If you can incorporate one new habit each week, youβll be surprised at the difference it will make to your energy levels, weight management, efficiency and attitude, and you will be well on your way to reclaiming your wellbeing at work!

Our thoughts, which can be set by ourselves or external circumstances (including other people), directly impact our state of being and ultimately our experience of life.
Each day itβs important to take the time and energy to withdraw from these external inputs and actively focus on the generation and nurturing of our own inputs (in line with our goals and desires), including positive ideas, dreams and potential.
We are all individuals and this will look different for everyone. For some, it might be a structured meditation, for others it could be going for a surf, hike or run, doing something creative or finding stillness in a sauna. Having a regular practice will develop autopilot thinking based around positivity, health, growth and success; instead of sickness, failure, fear and limitation.
As a result, we will naturally attract more positive into our lives and have the resilience, patience and fortitude to overcome the negative.

Rope climbs are a fundamental gymnastics movement developing unilateral bent arm strength, core stability, one arm chin up specific strength, and coordination, but can also work really well as part of a well structured conditioning circuit π
We love pairing big compound movements like rope climbs with a higher rep exercise working antagonistic muscles, and something purely aerobic π
Todayβs conditioning piece was just that:
EMOM 5 sets:
Rope climb 1r (leg less) / 8r (assisted)
Push ups 15r
Skipping 45 sec
