One Taekwondo teaches not only self-defense techniques, but also the value of cultivating a healthy mind, a competitive spirit, and perseverance. Our students develop strong teamwork and understanding through group training. One Taekwondo will work tirelessly to assess your child's needs and show a genuine interest in them. Master Hur began training in Taekwondo in 1975. When he arrived in Perth f
rom Korea in 1977, he trained under master Sok Pong Kim alongside some of Australia's top Taekwondo practitioners. In the mid-1980s, he ran three successful Dojangs in the Western Australian suburbs of Balga, Bentley, and Kelmscott. He is currently a WT Taekwondo instructor (commonly known as Sport Taekwondo or Olympic Taekwondo). In addition, from 1992 to 2005, he lived in Korea for 13 years, where he trained under renowned Korean masters and organised numerous training camps for Australian and European students at leading Korean Taekwondo universities. He is the former President of Australian Taekwondo Queensland, as well as the Poomsae Director for Sports Taekwondo Queensland. He is always enthusiastic about Taekwondo and attends all classes at our full-time facility in Coopers Plains.
