🚨Premier Academy League week 2🚨

Great day for football despite sweltering heat. Won both games today 🏆

First game Christian had a few nice instances of skills but overall was a little flat. Coach told us and we agreed. Not terrible but not his best. Still, the boys won 4-1.

Second game…Well, much much better. More energy, more aggressive chasing the ball and in the tackle. Connected beautifully with a cross with a header that flashed inches wide. Last 10 minutes of the first half he was excellent and carried this into the second half. Came away with a knock to the top of his cheek just under his eye in a very tough 3-2 win.

Now needs to carry this into training and next week. 3 wins from 4 games so far for Christian and the boys ⚽️🥅

🚨Premier Academy League week 1🚨

Great morning of football today. First game Christians team found themselves 4-1 down. But second half was a complete turnaround. Christian was heavily involved in one goal, scored one himself from a free kick and had a great aggressive battle where he was able to come away with the ball and went on a 50 yard run, turning defense into attack before a nice pass to the opposite side as support came. Ended up in a 6-5 win.

Second game was another close one, going down 3-1. Christian was a little quieter in this one as some had tired legs towards the end.

Some nice football from the boys today. Onwards and upwards ⚽️🥅

Two of my favourite photos of Christian. He’s sadly coming off a club season that didn’t work for him but his effort and determination was still there, although did start to fade at the end.

Thankfully he has that spark back again as he begins his academy league season again this Sunday. He also wants to go back to his previous club and although the chances of entering their academy are slim to none (long story!), I know he can become even better at junior level and the professional pathway program he is on.

Keep working mate. Let’s get ready for Sunday, enjoy it. I promise you better seasons are coming.

Premier Academy League practice games this morning with the other under 12 team. Good run out for him and some good one on one coaching for the team to help prepare.

Two training sessions this week and helping his best friend tomorrow with his upcoming trial he has before Academy Leqgue starts next Sunday ⚽️🏆

Premier Academy League training starts tomorrow for the 2025 tournament. Second year in a row. His team got to their final last year. Hoping for one better this year…🏆⚽️

Christian after trials last week has been selected once again to represent Pure Soccer in the Premier Academy League at under 12’s.

Can he go one better this time? Only time will tell. Can’t wait ⚽️

Great game for his club on the weekend. Went 3-0 down pretty quickly but then Christian scored his teams first goal, setup their second with a great cross field pass, and in the second half got cheeky and tired to chip their goalkeeper from outside the box, TWICE, and hit the crossbar both times! Game finished 3-3 ⚽️🏆
