In just over a week, almost 100 dancers will take the stage for WHY WE DANCE: celebrating 14 years of Dance Masala and exploring why we need spaces to move, connect and belong?
Through Bollywood performance, storytelling and conversations spanning psychology, poetry and Hindi cinema, we’ve created a show that we hope will make you laugh, feel, think, and perhaps see dance a little differently.
And we couldn’t bring something of this scale to the stage without people who believe in what we’re creating 🫶🏽

Sheetal Deo is a lawyer turned social entrepreneur, strategist and advocate who has spent her career asking a simple question: who do our systems work for - and who gets left out? That question sits at the heart of the two organisations she founded: Shakti Legal Solutions and The Diversity Collective.
Shakti Legal Solutions was created to address the “missing middle” in access to justice - supporting people who may not qualify for free legal assistance but for whom traditional legal services can still feel out of reach.
