Sherwood Sharks

Only a few hours left of the season. Sharky is a little sad, but we'll cheer him up with a fun night to celebrate the end of the season.

A reminder for parents. Bring your speedos/togs/swimmers so we can field a few parent relay teams to take on our Sharks. No pressure but the parents need some redemption after being comprehensively beaten last year.

Also, for those interested, we will be holding our AGM this evening before racing gets underway. We'd love people to attend (it's obligation free - we promise). Our awesome committee is likely to stay on but we'd love a few more people to join us and help make our little swim club even better in Season 26/27.

Good morning Sharks. Only 2 more sleeps until presentation night. Before we round out the week, and swim season with a fun filled night, we have an important task for all the grown up Sharks. If you haven't already paid your registration for swim club this term, please do so ASAP. Payments need to be made via the Qkr app - https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/store/ #/home

A reminder of our registration fees:
- Individual swimmers - $45
- Families (2 or more swimmers) - Rego is capped at $90.

If you have any trouble with the Qkr app, please come one of the committee members on Friday night, or send us a private message and we'll work out a solution with you.

It's time to start limbering up Sharks. And not just our swimmers. Club champs is a big deal and takes a little more effort to run it, so our club committee will be working hard tonight and need some big Sharks to step up and help. If you are willing and able, we would love your help in the canteen. And we once again need our wonderful timekeeper roles.

Don't forget to nominate early to help our awesome race starters get the heats locked in and racing underway at 6.

We appreciate some of our younger swimmers are capable of and do swim 50m races during our regular club nights, but for club championship and age champions, race distance is set by age. We appreciate your support and look forward to some speedy times tonight.

Hi Sharks. Sharkie has studied the radar and forecast and we are on for racing tonight. Don't forget 2025/26 captains speeches from 5:50. Racing will commence as soon as the Sharks have cast their votes. See you soon.

Hi Sharks. Sharkie is closely monitoring the current storm cell and weather sitting over the Shark Tank and will make a decision on whether it's safe for swim club to go at about 4:30. Stay tuned for more updates.

We’re go for tonight Sharks. A little rain won’t scare us off, but I don’t think lightening like it. I think they prefer to have a storm without the rain 😉. I’ve checked in with Sharkie and he’s already warming up, ready to make the Graceville Lightning Swim Club swimmers eat his bubbles!

Don’t forget to register on the swim club connect app. make sure you support the GLSC canteen and BBQ by grabbing dinner while you enjoy whats sure to be great racing by all.

We are go for club night tonight. We have opened up our club night to Graceville Lightning Swim Club to give their swimmers the option to race tonight.

The BBQ will be fired up ready, and we'll have umbrellas ready to go for our timekeepers.

Please bring some extra towels to help keep your little Sharks warm and primed to swim between their races.
