BUT “UZZIE” CONTRIBUTED SO MUCH MORE

It is with great sadness to share the news of the death of Usman Khan in a car accident last week.

“Uzzie” was a founder, captain, treasurer. But more so, he was the TALISMAN of the club that has been part of QSDCA and Warehouse Cricket Association Queensland for many seasons.

Usman was a gentleman, a fierce competitor and always played with a smile and determination.

As an association, we are shocked at the news that one of our own has been taken so soon.

Furthermore we encourage all captains and teams to honour Usman’s contribution to Subbies cricket and his beloved community this weekend.

——
Usman’s sudden passing leaves behind his wife (who is also 8-months pregnant). Faced with hardship, the club has made a wider call for financial support for her.

There is a gofundme page and asked for any contribution, big or small, that may provide some financial support for his wife and unborn child.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing the link amongst your socials.
