Harry’s very last match of the season on a windy wet English day. A friendly against Stoke City Dev team won 9-1 and Harry scored as captain!
What a way to finish his 10 months with The Sunshine Coast International FC. Can’t wait to see what the future holds…..

Meanwhile - His older brother Tom was in hospital in Sydney for surgery - shoulder reconstruction. Dad had flown down to be with him and together they watched Harry after he’d come out of his Op with Mum and Daisy watching in Brisbane.

Harry played today against Stoke City 1-1 and it was a blinding match to watch.
I might be biased but honestly Harry had a cracking match - Great in the air, brilliant corners, confident, strong, assertive, intelligent, decisive and first to the ball. This is his shot saved in the last minute of 1st half.

Harry scored his first hat trick on English soil this weekend when the Sunshine Coast u18’s played Macclesfield in the Junior Premier league.
Harry’s strong performance showing the maturity in his game the confidence he has developed since coming back from his broken ankle.

U23 MATCH REPORT -
SCFC 0-2 FCV Academy
We knew heading into today’s game we going to be up against it. FCV Academy sit 2nd in the table and have recently collect some very good results.
The focus on training last week had been around becoming more defensive solid, to the credit of the players they demonstrated that today. The two goals came in the first half and both were almost identical, ball crossed from the right and their player coming in at the back post.
In the 2nd half we addressed this issue, we then had spells of dominance, resulting in an unbelievable save from the opposition goalkeeper, before Harry Bessell had a goal ruled out for offside.
The 2nd half produced a much better all round performance, being defensively solid as well as offering an attacking threat.
Overall a very pleasing performance, and credit to the players that we felt that maybe we should have got something from this game.

No match Saturday so instead the boys fuelled on a hawl of Aussie snacks sent by one family for the boys to share. Headed off to watch Shrewsbury Town FC V Walsall FC. Great day out.
