Congratulations to Iorveth Scott for taking out the gold medal at the 10th running of the fantastic beginner friendly tournament, the Carranza Cup.
Veth this is sure to be the first of many tournament medals especially if you keep to (what appears to be) your mantra to 'crush your enemies ... with love'!

Our inaugural Oak N' Iron beginners longsword tournament is being held this Saturday.
Tonight we are opening our doors to all competitors who would like to practice both tournament bouting and flagging. This is a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with the scoring system and intensity expectations.
Our doors are open from 7pm at Oakleigh State School, off Buxton St in Ashgrove.

Effort in results out.
David Stamenkovic has been one of the hardest training members of Vanguard for the past couple years. His efforts paid off over the weekend winning gold 🥇 for longsword at Armidales High Guard tournament.
Congratulations Dave, you are a well deserved champion!!

Vanguard is opening its doors for December. If you are a registered fencer you're invited to come along and spar on Monday and Wednesday nights 7-9pm at the Oakleigh State School in Ashgrove.
Of course we’re still training tonight!
