I don't know about anyone else but as soon as these international travel restrictions let up, I am making a hasty escape with my bike to this idyllic location.

Who else is coming?

Happy Independnce Day to Vanuatu.

On this day 39 years ago, the former colony of New Hebrides ended its period of rule by Britain and France and became the free nation of Vanuatu.

The Vanuatu Cycling Revolution is more than just a cycle ride, it is an adventure. An adventure that encompasses both cycling and the opportunity to see another culture right on the doorstep of our own.
Vanuatu is a developing nation, that gives you both a sense of what you have and also of what you don't. On the one hand the Vanuatu culture in many respects is to be envied, it is relaxed and less stressful than our own fast paced stressful way of life. On the other hand it is a nation that makes do with the bear necessities of life. Seeing their very modest living standard makes you realise how easy we sometimes have it with all of the Western World's modern conveniences and luxuries at our disposal.
Since my teens, cycling has been far more than a passion of mine. Sometimes it has been an escape, other times it has rescued me when I have gone astray. So each time I return to Vanuatu for my next adventure, I try and take some little things to brighten a few peoples lives. My focus has shifted from my initial idea, and now I would like to put as many people in Vanuatu on a bike as I can, each time I return. For that moment they might need an escape or an outlet.
This trip I took over two brand new rockin' Mountain Bikes and two new helmets (of course, hopefully they get worn) for some village kids. I would like to say straight up, this would not have been possible without the generous support of some of my dearest friends. I was merely the delivery boy delivering the generosity of others. Seeing the joy on the childrens faces when I made these deliveries was something to behold and I am forever in debt to my friends who made this possible.

THANK YOU so much:

Craig Richmond
Dean Archer
Debbie Parker
Darrell Hardy Snr
Benny Manning
Melissa Stafford
Katrina Carr and MJ Ackery
Tony Wood
and last but NOT least Donna McIntyre-Lane!!

For putting Vanuatu on a bike one bike at time.

The Vanuatu Cycling Revolution - Edition #3

I have just returned from another amazing trip to Vanuatu. This is the biggest contingent of cyclists yet, to set out on the adventure and easily the biggest group of cyclists to ever travel around the Efate Island ring road at one time.

In all 9 cyclists took part in the event, with all riders successfully and safely circumnavigating the island. It truly was a great ride with great people - an adventure we will all hold dearly in our memories.
