Taking it back to Easter 2022 when our Learn to Swim kids had a very special Easter egg hunt! 🐣💦

The pools were filled with Easter eggs, and there were plenty hiding around the facility for our little swimmers to find! 🏊‍♀️🥚 From splashing through the pools to searching high and low, it was a day full of smiles, laughter and a whole lot of Easter fun! 💙🐰

It’s safe to say the kids had a cracking good time! 🥚😂

It’s pretty incredible to think that decades ago, our aquatic centre was playing host to some of Australia's biggest names in music! 🤩

From swimming and summer fun to live music and unforgettable memories, Plantation has certainly been a place for the community to come together for generations. 💦🎶

🌊 THROWBACK THURSDAY | June 2022 Brisbane Flooding 🌊

Taking a look back at a time we certainly won’t forget. During the June 2022 Brisbane flooding, the water made its way right up into our activity pool and flooded our much-loved beach volleyball courts 🌧️💦

Once the water began to clear, it was all hands on deck! Our amazing staff spent many long hours cleaning, clearing out and restoring the pool area to make sure everything was safe and ready for swimming again💪🏊

And amongst all the clean-up, two of our staff members may have made a very special little discovery… a tiny baby turtle! 🐢💚 Definitely not something you find every day while cleaning out a pool!

It was a huge clean-up effort, but thanks to the hard work of our team, we were able to get everything back in shape and welcome everyone back to The Plantation Aquatic Centre 💙🙌

How different did Plantation Aquatic Centre look back in 2019?! 👀😂

The field was set up with soccer goals, the pools were soaking up the sun with no shade in sight, and our slides and pergolas were looking a little less colourful than they do today! ☀️⚽🎢

It’s funny looking back at old photos and noticing all the little things that have changed over the years. From new colours and upgrades to plenty of memories made along the way, Plantation has definitely had a glow-up! ✨💙
