Boasting 15 Queensland State League Premierships, ACU Brisbane North Cougars is Netball Queensland’s largest and most successful netball region. With the support of five netball Associations, which form the Brisbane North region, Cougars provides extensive opportunities for the development of young players, coaches, umpires and officials. ACU Brisbane North Cougars is highly regarded as the feeder Club to the Queensland Firebirds and Sunshine Coast Lightning teams with a huge talent pool in the Brisbane North Region. The 2022 squad has three training partners in the Firebirds and Lightning with many other alumni players such as Mia Stower, Ruby Bakewell-Doran, Laura Scherian and Tara Hinchliffe. ACU Brisbane North Cougars takes pride in delivering elite coaching, education and development therefore maximising participation and enjoyment in the growing sport of netball. With 10,000 athletes and 2000 officials ranging from five years old to mature adults, the Brisbane North Region is a significant component of the Queensland netball community.
