🤩So proud of the effort this team put into their training and preparation for the event during a Pandemic. Their win last night against Spain ranked them 7th in their Group securing a place at the next Championship event. 🇦🇺🥌

Great to see another W on the board after some hard fought games. Some amazing curling happening this week - loved the 7.7 L*D measurement Tahli Gill!!!! 👏
🇦🇺 Team Australia recorded a 9-3 win over Hungary in their 2nd game of the day today when Hungary conceded after the 6th end.
In their earlier game that day Australia took 3 in the 7th and stole 1 in the 8th to almost tie up the game against Korea with a final score of 7-6 for Korea.

🤩We concur!!!! "If there was an MVP named for this game, look no further than Australia’s Gill. Her 89 per cent shooting average is outstanding for a mixed doubles game and can cause any opponent trouble when she’s placing the first and last rocks of an end with that kind of efficiency." 👏

😍This!!! Celebrating amazing Women as part of Monday's International Women's Day!!
In the lead up to International Women’s Day, we acknowledge the most experienced coach in Australia, Lyn Gill, who holds a World Curling Federation Level 2 Coaching certificate. Lyn’s completed two intense overseas coaching programs with the WCF and assisted with coaching two elite Junior World Curling training camps in Germany. As the long-time coach of the National Junior Women’s team since 2008, Lyn has coached the team at both International and World level events since 2009. Nationally, Lyn was recognised as 2009 Coach of the Year by the Australian Institute of Winter Ice Sports for her involvement as a coach of elite Junior curling athletes.
In addition, Lyn is an elite player representing Australia at the 2013 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships and 7 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships – the most recent in 2018 with two of her daughters on the team. What a role model and contributor to junior development in Australian Curling.
