The 2026 Quest Balmoral Junior & Women’s Tour was another fantastic weekend! Since 2011, the 4 stage, 2 day event has delivered great racing, rider development & plenty of fun! This year was no exception, with 147 entrants from around Australia taking on the Prologue at Ipswich Cycle Park, Road Races at Haigslea & Ipswich, the Mt Gravatt Hill Climb & Kermesses/Criteriums at Muzz.

💙 The BJWT Spirit Award 💙

While every rider comes to the Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour hoping for a great result, there is one award that can't be won by performance alone.

The BJWT Spirit Award is the highest individual honour presented at the tour and there is only one recipient each year.

It recognises the person who truly embodies the spirit of our event through their sportsmanship, determination, respect for others, resilience and positive attitude, both on and off the bike.

Whether encouraging fellow rider, showing grace in victory and defeat, overcoming adversity, or simply making the weekend better for everyone around them, this award celebrates the values that make our cycling community so special.

Congratulations to Cooper Dunlop, you are a deserving recipient of the BJWT Spirit Award.

⚡ Pulse Award Winners ⚡

The 2026 Quest Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour proudly introduced the Pulse Awards. A new recognition celebrating riders who made their mark on the tour in a way that went beyond the podium.

Unlike the General Classification, which rewards podium results, the Pulse Award recognises riders who truly shaped the racing. It celebrates attacking, determination and the willingness to animate the competition from start to finish.

Awarded in every age category and women's grade, the Pulse Award recognises those riders who lit up the race with their courage, initiative and never-give-up attitude.

Congratulations to our inaugural 2026 Pulse Award recipients. We hope this award becomes a valued tradition of the Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour for many years to come.

🏆 BIKECHAIN JUNIOR 19 NATIONAL ROAD SERIES - 3rd and Final Round 🏆

The BikeChain Junior 19 National Road Series returned in 2026 with a continued focus on bridging the gap between junior and elite road cycling.

Since its launch in 2019, the series has provided Australia's under 19 riders with the opportunity to compete at events around the country. It continues to play an important role in developing the next generation of Australian road cycling champions.

The 2026 series began at the Tour of the Riverland in South Australia, before heading to the Canberra Junior & Women's Tour in the ACT. The 2026 Quest Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour was proud to host Round 3, welcoming many of Australia's best junior riders to Queensland to round out their national series campaign.

🏆 2026 Quest Balmoral Junior & Women's Tour – General Classification 🏆

After four challenging stages, the tour has come to an end, and our General Classification winners have been decided!

The General Classification is the ultimate test of a rider's consistency across the entire tour. With four very different stages every stage matters. Success wasn't just about winning a stage; it was about backing up with strong performances all weekend and managing the highs and lows.

Congratulations to all of our General Classification podium placegetters and to every rider who took on the challenge. Your determination, resilience and sportsmanship made for an outstanding weekend of racing.

The tour wrapped up where it all began for many of us—back at our home track, MUZZ (Brisbane International Cycle Park).
