Homeless Kiwis in Australia.

Hello my name is Jason Aati, A kiwi living here in Brisbane, Australia... I work for a company called The Big Issue.. Being Homeless, and seeing it first hand, has opened my eyes too the situation we have here in Australia.

I'm a strong spirited person, and have decided to stay here in Australia, and challenge this obstacle head on.

It's not easy, but with our Heavenly Father, behind me, Nothing is impossible.

I believe everything happens for a purpose, I came to Brisbane for wealth, and now my desire is too help and do the Lord's will.

To Australia, We are neighbours, and yes we do have rivalry. We do understand Australia is getting flooded with kiwis and other immigrants including refugees.

But before the change in 2001, regarding the Original Visa's between Australia and New Zealand, why is it, only Australia's agreement altered.. Where is the fair playing card in this ?

Many people will quote, well there is more Kiwis leaving NZ to OZ, and only a handful of OZ leaving to NZ...

Good point, but what about the many kiwis that came here and started working, and pumping out the TAX money to help Australia grow... There are many kiwi's still working and only a few struggling financially, looking for work.. Why can't Australia help those, instead of pushing the 10 year banned on kiwis regarding assistance.

What i'm suggesting is.. instead of waiting 10 years, and then giving only 6months assistance, why don't you apply the 6months when the kiwi arrives or loses his job or has some sort of injury too get his or her feet back in running.

The 10years and 6months assistance, is crippling us kiwis, we are a proud people,. and very hard working... isn't this the reason why a lot of Australia companies started recruiting us KIWIS.

All i'm saying is, give us a FAIR Chance, We bleed, we cry, we have bad days, Come on MATE.... Cussy bro.... we gave you the Pavlova... show us some love...

Kia kaha (stand strong) too the kiwis living in Australia. Those that are manipulating the centrelink welfare, get your act together, you spoiling it for the rest of us.
