Holiday fitness!

Are you committed? Are you able to get out to do your exercise? Or have you got everything set up at home?

School holidays can be a challenging time with having the kids around non-stop.

Here’s my top tips for still getting things done!

• Schedule in your weekly work-outs

• Get up early to exercise before kids wake up if you don’t get a free moment in the day

• Prepare your work out clothes etc the day before so it’s ready to go

• Join a gym with a crèche if you absolutely can’t get a moment to you while at home

• Do at least 1 active\sports activity with the kids every day

• Keep up the water and fuel your body right

• Keep a mat, small weights etc in lounge room (in sight so it’s not out of mind) so you can get a quick work out in at those spontaneous moments where kids are playing quietly and don’t need you

• And most importantly, do exercise you enjoy!

Newfound love of hill sprints as we visit Cairns as part of our holidays 💚

It’s funny how you can get so comfortable with running along the water where we live and just forget that there’s so many other great ways of doing something.

This is often the case for us mums I think. If a routine is working, we stick to it. Or sometimes, even if it is working, we loose sight of it and down-prioritise our us-time. Which is ok. But then it is so important to re-schedule that time back in.

I stay consistent to my exercise even on holidays. I just mix things up depending on what’s available to me. Thankfully the mornings are ‘mine’ as husband prefers his work outs a little later in the day 💚
