Do you have an interest in improving the lives of women here at QUT? Then this 11-hour per week paid position might be for you!

Please send your resume, proof of enrolment (from QUT Virtual), and a cover letter comprising of your:

• Full Name
• Student Number
• Student Email Address, and
• Why You Are the Best Candidate for the Role

Applicants for this role must self-identify as women. All suitable candidates will be notified in due course of the upcoming Guild Council meeting, to be held in the new year. Applicants will be invited to present a short two-minute speech.

Do you have an interest in moderating debates? Then this volunteer position might be for you! The Chair is the most important role in the Student Representative Council, ensuring that all debates are fair and noble. This is an exciting opportunity to expand one’s skill in this vocation.

All suitable candidates are required to attend a Mock Council Session, to be held on January 23 2025, between 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. This session will explain the requirements of Council and Chair and give you a chance to participate in a Mock Council.

We've currently got two casual vacancies available at the Guild. These are short-term positions from October 3rd to November 30th, constituting one term. These vacancies will be filled at the next Council meeting on the 5th of October. The roles available are the Women's Officer & the First Nations Officer.

The women's officer role includes encouraging and promoting services specific to women, initiating and overseeing the conduct of the guild's women's campaigns, managing the day-to-day operations, and administering the portfolio. Applicants for this role must identify as a woman.
