🚨 Safety Considerations: Back Panel Height 🚨
Did you know that the height of your baby carrier’s back panel can impact the safety of your baby?
TOO HIGH
And it can compromise your baby’s airway by pushing their chin to their chest. It can also limit airflow as well as hinder monitoring and communication.
TOO LOW
And it becomes a falls risk plus it’s uncomfortable for you!
🔹 Need help? I provide in person and online babywearing consultations! 🔹

❤️ Meet the Team ❤️
Well really I’m the ‘team’ 😂 although my 3 kids are a huge part of my business and hubby can be seen behind the scenes too! My name is Kylie and it’s just me behind the scenes, running classes, providing consults and everything else.
I used to be a mental health social worker but was completely burnt out 🥵 and looking back I experienced workplace trauma and compassion fatigue while pregnant with Emily, my eldest.
Between that and my whole life, sense of self and purpose shifting once she was born, I started looking into work that I could still help families, share my love of exercise and babywearing and still be with my daughter. As luck would have it, I found Kangatraining and became an instructor and started Kangatraining Brisbane East😍
As time went on, I had the wonderful opportunity to add Babywearing and You with babywearing consultations.
I love food and coffee (as you will know if you come to class), reading and watching a good series.
I’m not really outdoorsy but want to be.
I’m a huge Disney fan and I’m also half Canadian 🇨🇦
But most of all, I love being with my family ❤️
So thank you to everyone that has come to class, liked or commented on a post, visited my website or booked a consultation!
This is the family that you are supporting and I couldn’t be more grateful x

The holiday season is an intense time of lots of visitors, activities, new places and travel 🚗
Overstimulation, Pass the Baby Parcel, Overstepping and No Naps can be common place 😩 And you know that you will be dealing with an unsettled baby (or toddler) for a long time after all these events.
So my biggest tip is to BABYWEAR 🙌
It helps regulate both your big feelings, provides calm, comfort and a place for baby to easily sleep. And it stops the pass the baby.
What’s your favourite holiday survival strategy?

🔹Babywearing Misconceptions 🔹
The holiday season can lead to A LOT OF UNWANTED OPINIONS 🙄 and babywearing gets a lot of them!
“Oh” and these looks are often my response 😂 but if you do want more and they would be open to education, here’s the evidence to support your babywearing decision.
➡️ Babywearing is Unsafe
🔹This is why Babywearing safety is the most important and crucial component! We all want to ensure that baby’s are safe and the TICKS guidelines is a checklist to ensure your baby is safe while being worn (Tight, In View At All Times, Close Enough to Kiss and Supported Back).
We also want to make sure that the carrier we are using has been safety tested by US and European standards, that we are using the carrier as recommended by the manufacturer, that baby fits the carrier safely and that we monitor them closely while wearing.
Equaling a safe and often an essential tool for parents and caregivers!
➡️ You are Spoiling Your Baby
🔹Babies are food that goes off 🤦♀️ Evidence shows that responding consistently to a baby’s needs fosters healthy brain development and strengthens the parent-child bond. Babies cry to communicate, not manipulate, and meeting their needs helps them feel secure, building a foundation for independence and emotional regulation as they grow.
This is how you both thrive 🙌
➡️ They Will Never Learn to Walk (or crawl)
🔹 Babywearing actually helps develop a baby’s muscles and strength needed for head control, sitting, crawling and walking. It also works their vestibular system which controls their balance, spatial awareness and movement coordination - all needed in order to walk!
➡️ They are Too Old To Be Worn
🔹 Babywearing continues to offer benefits for older children, such as providing comfort during transitions, soothing in overstimulating environments, and allowing rest during long outings. It can also be a practical solution for families with multiple children.
If both the wearer and child are comfortable and the carrier is safe, there’s no “too old” for babywearing!
