Happy (belated) New Year all

Got some good news to start off 2026

Was at the workshop on Friday & we've finally worked out that the car isn't getting a trigger to the starter motor. Cam gave that relay power & it fired right up, for about 4 seconds because it's not getting fuel & probably because the intake is poorly reassembled & there would be air leaks.

So far it hasn't got interior lights etc yet & I wasn't watching the cluster to see if the revc ounter works either... but it's almost running again.

I went to get a video but the jump starter chose that moment to go flat lmao

Well, it's Christmas time again.

I don't have any news except that we're getting closer to having the v6 running again, & by that I mean the daily has temporarily donated it's relays to the cause. The two of them being together did mean that I could get these photos as a bit of a send off for 2025.

This is the two cars, five years apart.

A lot has changed, with one of them at least.

I got way more videos than photos but I'm waiting on Gussy to send his GoPro footage before I make a video on it.

So the bad news is actual bad news this time...

Went down to the shop to fit the loom, & it gets no power or anything... We're back where we started almost 2 years ago 🙄😔

& I just learned that Facebook does not allow pictures to be attached if you're sharing another status...

Wtf Facebook...

I have good news... & bad news...

The bad news is the good news will have to wait until tomorrow....

It's getting a proper paint job... or at least a better one than I gave it lmao 🤣

Working on a major photo bomb from Bathurst, but in the meantime I finally got some more work done on the Sh*tleeka.

We're still waiting on the loom but this is the next thing on the list after that 👍

Haven't got much to update with the Sh*tleeka atm, except we might see the wiring loom back this or next week.

However, it's only 19 days now until I get to walk on hallowed ground, get to visit the place where one of our greatest racing drivers won 9 times...

You can expect content related to me doing this, obviously, but I'll be doing it seperately across both Youtube Channels.
The main Vlog, walking around the track etc. will be on my Gaming channel, & the racing footage or car/vehicle related stuff will be up on Racin' Rubbish's channel 😁

Oh this is going to be good...

I remember sharing the post from when they first annouced the Bend in SA, I was super keen to go there, eventually race there & obviously that never happened... at least not yet 😉
Now I'm not short on events in QLD, & lakeside isn't far away... but having a track just a few suburbs away would be amazing 😁

It would fill a significant gap in the motorsport marketplace...

6 days until the Sh*tleeka gets a full loom made 😁
Cam sent the v6 & spare 5s loom we have to a bloke who is going to make a patch loom, thus solving the problem we have atm.
Tbh, I was hoping to take this route full stop, the car wants to have lights etc for racing but if I ever have to move it on, I'd prefer to let it go with the ability to be registered.

Which brings me to that point, rego. I did seriously consider if it was worth the trouble of getting it roadworthy to rego but ultimately my daily is the better option... at least for now.

But man it was tempting. That would be a fun swap for a daily & it would be really nice to drive lol

So there'll be another update soon, although if I have my way it'll be in video form because it's been so long since I could make one.

I'm also working on simulator things but I'll talk about that another time 😉

Little mid year update for you all

On the car, well progress is being made, but very slowly. Tbh I'm not seeing what I can do with the car while it has no engine loom & my motivation has a taken a hit... not just with the team & the car but my gaming youtube side too.
Until it's running again, I don't see the point of doing the side things I want to do to it, like air ducting etc. because the whole front end is off (& I'm only now remembering I took photos of it in it's current state, which are included)

So far we have stripped & replaced every bit of wiring from the dash fowards & around the front end back into the dash. This should mean full lights, cluster (except the rev counter) & the engine should actually work how it should with the cold start etc.

In other news... I"M GOING TO BATHURST!

That's right, the boys from Aussie Sim Wars are going to Bathurst & I'm going with them... but this good news comes with a disappointing bit of bad news... I'm not going to get the car on a track this year... Unless magic happens & I can afford that too...

Except AC/DC are coming back to Aus sooo... I might do that 😁

In gaming news & related to the ASW above, I've been getting a lot of practice in the sim & I'm doing rather well in RFactor 2 which is a massive improvement. I really hope it helps when I'm driving the sh*tleeka.

That's it for the update, I will be sure to take plenty of photos & will be updating the page a little more often from now on.
I'm also going to All Japan Day for the 2nd time in 5 years, this time without my car but there's always next year 😁 Keep an eye out for the photos from that too.
