Honestly? Table Topics is where the magic happens.🎤
One minute you’re thinking ‘I have absolutely nothing to say’… the next you’re passionately defending why pineapple belongs on pizza.

Low pressure. Big laughs. Surprisingly addictive.

We love this excellent examples from another Queensland club 💕🎤💯

🎤 Public speaking sounds terrifying? 😱

Same.💯 😅

That’s why Toastmasters exists, we’re a diverse room full of people who are all a bit nervous, figuring it out together with a structured program. The best part is that it’s lot less pressure than you’d expect.

You can come, sit quietly, and judge us (lovingly) before deciding if you want to join in.

📍 Gaythorne RSL (upstairs)
🕡 6:15pm for 6:30pm
📅 1st, 3rd & 5th Tuesday

Some of us grab dinner/drinks downstairs beforehand too (moral support 😅)

Come see what it’s about, you’ll be very welcome 😊

🔥 Hot Off the Toaster 🔥

Our latest club newsletter celebrates some fantastic moments.

Congratulations to Alina Gliga, who scooped the pool with her very first Ice Breaker speech, winning Best Prepared Speech and Most Outstanding Toastmaster of the Night. Well done also to Margaret Keal, Lindsay Ostrofski, Dian Van Dijk, Helen Coates, Cicy Zhing and others recognised for their speeches and contributions.

And who could forget Simon Warwick’s Angus Young–inspired guitar moment during his latest speech, proof that creativity is always welcome at the lectern! 🎸

At Toastmasters, you never quite know what’s going to walk up to the lectern.

Last week, it was a guitar 🎸

One of the best parts of our club is seeing members bring their whole selves into their speeches, their stories, their passions, and sometimes their music. It’s a reminder that confidence isn’t about fitting into a mould, it’s about expressing who you are.

Every speech makes the room a little braver.
