A New Chapter - and a Return to Our Roots

You may have noticed we have been transitioning from 10th Planet Brisbane back to our original name: The Grappling Club.

For those who have been with us for a long time, you’ll know that The Grappling Club is where this team originally began. Years ago we became part of the 10th Planet family - something that meant a lot to Adam and Chris and the vision they had for the gym. After Adam passed, continuing that path felt like an important way to honour what had been built and the direction they believed in.

Over the years, though, the gym has continued to grow and evolve in its own way. The culture on our mats, the way we teach, and the team we’ve built together have always been the real heart of this place.

Because of that, it feels like the right time to return to the name The Grappling Club and continue building the next chapter of the gym in our own way.

We’re incredibly grateful for the time we spent as part of the 10th Planet community and the friendships and experiences that came with it. This change comes with nothing but respect and appreciation.

At the end of the day, what matters most has never been the name on the wall.

It’s the people on the mats.
The community we’ve built.
The love of grappling that brings us together every day.

That isn’t changing.

We’re proud of where we’ve come from — and excited for where The Grappling Club goes next.
