Just under two weeks' to go for The Drop Bear run at Pooh Corner organised by AAARC

$5 entry fee will be donated to Wolston and Centenary Catchments (WaCC) who do amazing conservation work in our neigbourhood.

The event is one where anyone can give it a go - whether you can manage one lap of the Kangaroo Circuit in 30 mins, or keep going for several, with a minute off each lap to complete it...

The Rich Pour Espresso Bar Coffee van will be there to fuel our caffeine needs!

I've been busy this weekend with finishing the winners' trohpies (includes local honey from Brookfield) and running the course - looks like as long as I'm attached to Betty, I could manage up to the 12th lap!

Four weeks to go!

Today we started working on the winners' trophies (male and female winners, and one spare...)

Coffee van has been booked (phew!)

What race strategy will work best? Running to the pace of the lap, or take advantage of the longer time allowed to run and go faster than necessary so that you have more time between laps to rest?

A 3.9 km lap, just for fun ... sort of. The Drop (Bear) will support elements of our local community as well as the opportunity to put it on the line for those that have the goods, and good spectating for the, erm, smarter people that just want a few laps before sitting back with a coffee to see how to see how it unfolds! - are you ready for Kenny?
