Dear Generator,
You hired the team. The calendar is still full. You're still doing as much work as before.
If you're a Generator running a business at the team-building stage, this is the wall most of you hit. And it's not what you think.

Layer one is type and strategy. How is this founder designed to take action? Initiate, respond, wait for invitation, wait a lunar cycle. Everything downstream breaks if you misread this.
Layer two is authority. How does this founder make a clean decision? Sacral, emotional, splenic, ego, self-projected, mental, lunar. This is the layer most founders skip โ and the layer most businesses are bleeding revenue from.
Layer three is profile. The consciousness the founder leads with. There are twelve profiles in Human Design and each one has a public-facing character and an inner pattern that runs the show behind it. A 3/5 founder running her business like a 1/4 is going to look successful and feel like she's wearing someone else's clothes. Profile tells me how this woman is meant to show up in the world.
Layer four is definition and channels. Where this founder has consistent, reliable energy โ and where she's open and being influenced by everyone else's. Most burnout isn't about working too hard. It's about working through open centres where you're amplifying other people's energy and calling it your own.
Read in this order, every time. Skip a layer and you'll build a beautiful strategy on the wrong foundation.
If you've had your chart read before, which of these four layers feels least clear to you? Tell me in the comments โ I'll point you to where to start.

Stacey came to me with a highly successful business, she had just hit her first $200k in revenue, with a 65% profit margin. But felt like something was off. She was frustarted, her first words to me we're "I think I want to burn it all down, I am so proud of what I built, but I also kind of resent it".
The first questions I asked:
1. What would need to be done in order for your to go from frustarted to satisfied?
2. What have you created in your business that you feel made sense, but feels awful to you?
3. What part if the business do you love? And what part do you hate?
4. What what the desire of this business initially? What was driving you?
These 4 questions led to some big breakthroughts.
you see, as a Mani-Gen, she needed to understand that her not self theme is frustration, so, the lowest hanging fruit is to ensure we figure out how she can step out of that into her alignment which is feeling satisfaction.
We discussed the open head center, where has she taken outside inspiration, actioned it without feeling into her sacral & emotional wave? What felt like a "should" instead of aligned?
She walked away knowing exactly what to change, what to cut, and where to step back into the parts of the business that lit her up. The biggest shadow piece was "prove it energy" and she realised she had her worth wrapped up in money, rather than what lit her up from the inside.
No drastic changes, just some tweaks, some letting go, some realisations of what behaviours and thoughts we're driving the ship, and what needed to take over instead.
I can confirm Stacey didn't burn it all down, instead she took a week off, made some changes and is on track for an even bigger year in revenue!!

I closed a profitable six-figure agency because I couldn't bear to keep building it.
On paper it was working. Revenue was up. Team was steady. Clients were happy. The numbers told a clean story.
The inside told a different one. I was burnt out. Resentful of client work. No boundaries. I felt like I had left the corporate world to work even harder! I built an agency out of "should". I was told by every coach that was the next step. The more I did what I "should", the more miserable I become.
I discovered Human Design & learnt about my own unique energy type, think, odern day Myer's Briggs, but way more accurate.
That's when I understood the founder is the bottleneck. Not the strategy. Not the team. Not the market. Me.
You can keep pushing harder against that wall. Most founders do. I did, for years. The wall doesn't move.
What does move is the architecture underneath the business. The way decisions flow. The way energy gets spent. The way the founder is or isn't designed to operate at the layer the business is asking her to operate at.
That's the work I do now, and it's the work I had to do on myself first. Closing the agency wasn't a defeat, it was the first honest decision I'd made in three years. The Inner Institute is what I built once I'd recognised what I actually wanted to build.
If you're sitting inside a business that looks right on paper and feels wrong in your body, that gap is real information. Trust me when I say, it's not a mindset problem. It's a design problem.
What's the thing that looks right on paper in your business, but feels wrong in your body?, Tell me in the comments, let's start the conversation.
