Proud of our guys who competed in Wodonga in the Battle on the Border. Jerome, Jimmy, Caleb and Charlie all smashed it.

Jerome Grguric and Jimmy Miskin , two of our newest guys wrestled very impressively in their first competition. Coach Caleb Hudson won silver in the individual competition, and teenager Charlie Traill continued to beat much larger and older opponents.

Well done everyone. It is fantastic to be able to compete with more Australian sumo clubs! NSW SUMO Northern Sumo Kitanokuma Sumo Stable, Perth, and Gold Coast.

Great keiko was had over the new years period! 2024 and 2025 Oceania Championsips Openweight and Light Heavyweight champ kept to his tradition of training with us here in the new year. (First photo this year, second 2025).

A lot has changed in the last 12 months, and sumo in Sydney continues to push forwards and only improve. Thankyou to everyone who made last year a great one, this one will be even better.

Everyone improved so much and we welcomed a heap of new faces to the dohyo. 4 Sydney wrestlers competed in the 2025 World Championships in Bangkok and club members did well in the 2025 Oceania championships and then in the Christmas cup as well.

The last 3 Thursday keikos in Redfern have all been great sessions, so much potential and fighting spirit in everyone! Great to see people step forwards heading into next year with motivation and passion.

Sundays (such as tomorrow) we train in St. Ives at 3pm as well, looking forwards to greeting more newcomers. 皆さんがんばって。

Great day of wrestling at Coogee Beach yesterday! The deeper sand really changes the game. Interesting to experience!

A cooldown swim in the ocean after a couple hours of wrestling went down perfectly. Once we were sick of sand in our mawashis we put on some satba for a bit of ssireum as well.
